Concept Development
Planning a successful event or campaign from start to finish can be overwhelming...especially for those who have never done it and have absolutely no idea where to begin!
Whether it's a small open house, or huge event at an arena that seats thousands...this session is designed to step through the initial stages in creating a foundation and structural blueprint for your project, event or campaign.
Brainstorming: It's all in your head!
"I have an idea! Didn't say it was a good one...just said that I had one."
Not all ideas will take you to success, but one thing is true: Those who have achieved success did not get there by themselves. Productive brainstorming takes common vision, passion, focus, and most of all...cooperation. There are no lone rangers; team work/co-production is critical to the development and success of any project.
NOTE: This is a facilitated session after "Concept Development".
Branding: That "One Thing"
Appearances are a significant factor to the consumer/cliente and a community. So...how do you "appear"? What is that "one thing" you do and do well? What is it that makes you stand out, turn heads, knock socks off of?
Most of all, who are you targeting...and should you be targeting?
This session is geared to explore and answer those "should/shouldn't?" questions that need to be answered before "embarking on marketing".
Developing Your Web Presence
Web sites, blogs, social networks, etc. You know you need some kind of web presence, but what is it you really need? Something with all the "bells and whistles"...or something simple to update and manage now and then?
Okay, maybe you aren't computer savvy, but know that you need something rather than nothing. Let's talk about what it is really needed, keeping in mind an important tip: Less is more. The more complex, the more management required.
Community Media
Everyone has a role to play in a "tribe". There are hunters, gatherers, teachers, artisans, healers. There are leaders, facilitators, engineers, producers...the elders.
Communication is a critical part of the [economic] development, growth and stability of a community. Gone are the "pony express" days; as we well know, information flows within a matter of seconds.
This session is about defining the type(s) of "tribes we identify with, as well as the various channels and venues that are most effective for the flow of information in our communities.
Press Releases: How to write them. What to do with them.
A press release is more than an announcement or a page filled with information.
How do you write one? Where do you send them? And why should the media publish yours?
Find out how to properly construct a press release/kit, where to send them...and what to do/what NOT to do when you send them off to the media!
